She was shaved down 2 months ago so she doesn't look as good. |
However, her real problem starts to surface after not too long. She simply doesn't eat at all. I've tried mixing Volka's Orijen which has a very strong fish odor which many dogs love, but she doesn't like it at all. Tried Vela's Tribute Canine which is equally strong in odor and she still doesn't like it. Mixed in canned food, soaked her kibbles, etc. A no means no. Kns. And I noticed that she gets highly excited when humans are eating, I'm guess at least of 90% accuracy that her previous owner fed her with human food despite giving us a big tub of her remaining kibbles. Fuck that owner seriously. It's not good for her health! No wonder her fur coat condition is so awful for a 1 year old poodle. So far, she only ate a lot on Friday evening cos I force-fed her like feeding medication.
I think her owner has been really irresponsible. Your poodle has lived with you for a year or more. If you decided to give her up, at least brief your adopter about her habits and diet (write notes or something). I did asked but have yet to get any solid replies except that her dinner portion is lesser cos she eats more in the day. So up to now, I have been trying and error-ing my ways out. I'm giving her a life time commitment unlike you. I will keep trying until she eats (if not, I will spoon feed her everyday until I find a remedy). Just give me 6 months, I will make her cute and pretty and probably make you regret giving her up.
