And so the next trial reading with Joey (my colleague) was done during work when we were rather free towards the end of the day. This time round, it is for the fat boy, Volka.
Me: How you feel nowadays?
Volka: Okay, so so.
Me: Have anything changed? (I was expecting him to say about the addition of the human kid)
Volka: The food become lesser.
Me: But I always filled up and watched everyone eat before I go work and before I sleep.
Volka: Last time not like this, you not scare I die of hunger? (My in laws used to do it the buffet style way, once finished, refill to brim)
Me: Please! You so fat where will die?
Volka: Ermm, I very fat? No, I don't think so. You should put food available at all times, else I gastric problem how?
Me: .......
Me: Okay, next topic. Why you always bite during grooming?
Volka: Because when I didn't bite, it was painful.
Me: Tell me how it happened.
Volka: The groomer guy grabbed me in a very painful way, I shouted for help but he still continued, I fell from bathtub, very pain.
Me: So now that we do your grooming personally, can don't struggle?
Volka: Cannot, my heart beat very fast, I cannot breathe leh. You not worried I die?
Me: Then how can you behave?
Volka: I'm not like your other dogs, got food everything okay one.
Me: Best friend within poodle gang?
Volka: Momo.
Me: Why so?
Volka: She won't disturb me, sleep with me, I prefer it that way.
Me: Who is the alpha of the pack?
Volka: Me, but I'm not the special one.
Me: Who is special?
Volka: Reya.
Me: She is a commoner dog just like you, just smaller in size only.
Volka: REALLY!? *happy*
Me: Who wee wee on the floor? (I asked for fun cos all of them have different pee patterns, quite easy to tell)
Volka: Not me!
Me: I know not you, so who?
Volka: Actually both Vela and Reya, just that Reya's pee smaller patch and Vela's one always covered up hers so always only Vela gets scolded.
Me: You are the korkor, why you never stop them?
Volka: Ermmm, when they pee, I was sleeping, so I don't know.
Me: Then can you do some work for me? Ask them pee properly?
Volka: What can you give me if I do it?
Me: Ermm... Biscuit?
Volka: Ok, can. (and he said he is not like other dogs got food ok? LOL!)
Me: Why you don't play toys anymore.
Volka: Very paiseh to play myself in front of others, shake shake shake look like siao?
Me: Any past life together?
Volka: Not with you.
Me: Is there any reason why we meet this lifetime?
Volka: There is a lesson to clear this lifetime, the lesson of patience.
Me: So have I learnt it already?
Volka: You are already very patient.
After this, my colleagues actually all burst out laughing cos they know Volka has always been testing my patience and I really only take his shit the most out of the poodle gang.
Post-Reading:
The pee-ing at the service yard has really improved after I asked Volka if he can ask the girls to pee properly or not both in the records and every morning before I left the house for work. If it is cleaned, he gets this milk bone chewy treat when I get home after work. So far, there was only a day where it was dirty cos I didn't ask him verbally to do it for me as I was rushing out for an appointment.
